I have a feral colony of rats I am growing and domesticating in an undisclosed major city. Every few weeks I take the trip out to see them, feed them, and shovel out their litterbox (where the kitchen used to be.) The apartment is unfortunately unliveable right now but as I get the rats more domesticated I may be able to spend more than a few minutes in there. Every time I open the door, hear their squealing, and see the rat population has increased I feel extreme joy. I work long hours to support my rats and I would sacrifice anything for them. If more people did the noble task of feral rat domestication the world would be a better place to live in, every home could come with many friends willing to help you in exchange for treats.
