Muslims love to claim that Islam "gradually" stopped slavery, but facts show otherwise. It was under pressure from the colonizers (who we are so good at bashing), League of Nations, and the United Nations that we were FORCED to stop slavery - FACT! - Mauritania (1981, mandated by the UN) - Oman (1970, mandated by the UN) - Saudi Arabia (1962,mandated by the UN) - Yemen (1962, mandated by the UN) - Algeria (1962, mandated by the French rule) - Kuwait (1949, mandated by the British rule) - UAE (No specific year; it gradually phased out by the mid-20th century) - Pakistan (1947, mandated by British rule) - Syria (1946, mandated by French) - Lebanon (1943, mandated by the French) - Turkey (1924, finally abolished female slavery, mandated by the League of Nations) - Iraq (1924 mandated by the British) - Egypt (1923, mandated by the British) -Morocco (1922, mandated by the French) - Jordan (1921 mandated by the British) - Libya (1911, mandated by Italian colonization)

Sahih al-Bukhari 4350 Narrated Buraida: The Prophet (ﷺ) sent `Ali to Khalid to bring the Khumus (war booty tax) and I hated `Ali, and `Ali had taken a bath (after a sexual act with a slave-girl from the Khumus). I said to Khalid, "Don't you see this (i.e. `Ali)?" When we reached the Prophet (ﷺ) I mentioned that to him. He said, "O Buraida! Do you hate `Ali?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Do you hate him, for he deserves more than that from the Khumlus." @arabic_translatedmemes
