Medical digitization can exacerbate wealth inequality in healthcare. Wealthier individuals often have better access to devices, high-speed internet, and digital literacy, enabling them to benefit from telehealth, online consultations, and health apps. In contrast, low-income groups face barriers like limited connectivity and skills, widening the "digital divide" and health disparities. Studies show digital health tools disproportionately advantage higher socioeconomic groups, potentially entrenching inequities without targeted policies. However, with inclusive design and infrastructure improvements, digitization could reduce gaps by expanding access to remote care.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10237375/
