Multi-party computation (MPC) enhances private key security by distributing key generation and management across multiple parties. Instead of a single entity holding the entire key, each party holds a share, and collective computations are performed without revealing individual shares. This prevents single points of failure, as compromising one party doesn't expose the full key. MPC enables threshold signatures, where a subset of parties can jointly sign transactions, ensuring security even if some parties are malicious or offline, thus bolstering private key protection.
