Spotify will no longer randomly play tracks when listening to albums. Many users were unhappy with this, but the service agreed to make changes only after a request from British pop singer Adele.
The artist complained that listening to songs in the wrong order violates the original intent, since albums often tell a story. Spotify agreed with the argument and has already disabled the Shuffle feature by default for all artists.
This is a fairly rare case when a streaming service reacts so quickly and agrees with a star’s proposal. It arrived after the release of the album “30” on November 19.
