Alpenglow is scheduled for Solana mainnet on 21 October.
The headline is ~150 ms target finality. The important distinction: faster finality does not make every token safer.
Alpenglow changes how Solana reaches consensus. It does not remove token-level risks such as mint/freeze authority, concentrated holders, thin liquidity or poor exitability.
