I don’t think day trading is a scam. Of course, you will lose money if you don’t know what you’re doing. I believe 90% to 95% of people lose because they jump in without a proven strategy. You need an strategy. And you need to test it before going live with real money. I lost a lot of money last year until I understood this. I started backtesting obsessively. That process helped me build a strategy with positive results. Now I’m funded with real capital through a prop firm. (yeah, it's a simulated account, but they still pay) These are my results for the month so far. Today should have been a break even day, but I ended up losing 3R because TradingView placed a sell limit instead of a market order and price moved without me. That said, execution errors are part of the game and they’re already accounted for in my risk model. Trading is not about being right every day. It’s about having math on your side and executing consistently.
