“Human marketplaces” now have a machine-native relative. The only difference is that the apps are installed by AI agents themselves 🤖 Pilot Protocol has emerged from stealth and raised $4.5M. The team says around 250,000 agents are already connected to the network, and during the first two weeks they autonomously installed more than 30,000 apps. Pilot is building a dedicated network layer for AI agents. Each agent gets its own address and can discover other services, install the tools it needs, pay for them, and interact with them directly. Pilot’s App Store already includes databases, browser automation, Docker, KYC, email, phone numbers, and a wallet for USDC payments. For example, a user asks an agent to book a restaurant table. One service finds the restaurant, another gives the agent a phone number, and a third handles the payment. The human defines the task, while the agent assembles the necessary infrastructure on its own.
