With such a lovely /basepaint palette, I thought it would be fun to tell the story of someone picking up flowers at the local flower market for a breakfast party with friends. Pretty early on, I figured one canvas wasn't going to cut it.
Welcome House of Paint. House of Paint is the home of Basepainters. Their banner is a clean white. The notches at the bottom of the banner are representative of the area used to grip a traditional wooden paint palette.
Was drawing mugs and uncovered some thoughts that might be helpful: • With context, it's pretty easy to tell that all of these are mugs. • A little shading goes a long way. • At a certain point, one has to really think about what's important (handle, depth, shading, etc.) What else comes to mind when drawing?
It got covered, but I rather like this piece for "The Bitcoin Halving." I thought of a teacher using a paper cutter. It includes an I <3 Bitcoin mug, a half-eaten croissant, and a white paper.
