In 1600s Europe, expeditions were bringing back all kinds of exotic goods. Among them were Tulips, a beautiful, color changing flower that quickly caught the attention of *mostly the wealthy... The rarity and mysterious beauty of the Tulip turned them into a status symbol. Prices soared and then people weren’t just buying flowers again. They started speculating on them just like an asset. And was priced at ridiculous prices. It’s funny how little we’ve changed. Even after all this century.

Whether it’s tulips, NFTs, or meme coins, humans have a habit of chasing trends, assigning massive value to things simply because they’re rare, hyped, or new and not really because they understand whatever they are investing in is all about. Anyways speculation isn’t new as we can see. And there is a Cliche saying that more often than not, speculation creates bubbles and bubble does what??? They eventually POP!!! But in all let's not forget that (Markets can remain irrational longer than one can remain solvent - John Maynard Keynes) Hmmmmm.... Human psychology will always remain the same no matter the era.
