📝 Farcaster & Farcaster Classic explained 👇Let's see Farcaster recent events first 📆Dec 2025 - Changed the vision from social media to wallet focused 📆Jan 2026 - Farcaster core team sold it to @neynarxyz 📆Feb 2026 - Both core team members @dwr & @v left farcaster & joined new project 🤷Basically core team sold & left the project ✅After this @neynarxyz took control of Farcaster 🧑‍💻As per ex Farcaster @cassie , Neynar has repeatedly abused their new power 👥lying to users by telling them they are upholding farcaster as a decentralized network. But It is not 💾Validators are controlled by Neynar 🧑‍💻So Cassie & team decided to fork Farcaster chain "Snapchain" to "Hypersnap" 👥Hypersnap is decentralized & it is achievable with token & other improvements 📝Full fork & improvement proposal was published here - https://github.com/orgs/farcasterorg/discussions/19 👇Tokenomics from FIP 🪙Total supply - 2B 🪙Retro Airdrop 10% - 200M 🪙Future Tokens are earned via Proof of Work ❌But non Hash ❌No equipment for mining ✅Earn via contribution, not mining 📉Token emission also have bitcoin style Halving but every 2 years 🐦Cassie & team addressing this new fork & it's token as Farcaster & old one Farcaster Classic 🤷So now both old & new team fighting for "Farcaster" title.. The loosing team will be called "Farcaster Classic" 😅In this case the @neynarxyz controlled Snapchain is addressed as "Farcaster Classic" because it is more centralized one 😉I support Hypersnap Farcaster 🫵What about u?
