From USDC to EUR with zero fees - fully onchain After a busy period, I’m back to my series “Living with Stablecoins: A European Perspective.” Chapter 3 covers the offramp flow that outperformed every CEX I tested. A year and a half ago, I left my 9–6 job to go all-in on @urbe-eth. The strategic goal was ambitious: honor and build on two years of community-driven foundations and grow our impact in Rome and across the Ethereum ecosystem. The personal goal ran deeper: create something real in the city I love, able to keep and attract builders, together with lifelong friends and the new ones met along the way. The plan was clear: scale our events and community efforts to onboard the next generation of Web3 builders through quality education, and open the first Web3 hub in Italy. In 18 months, the urbe.eth community delivered: • Two more ETHRome hackathons with top partners and builders • Urbe Hub, opened in under six months, the first of its kind in Italy • 12 Urbe Campus with 500+ builders educated • Many other events, meetups, workshops, parties, and community initiatives When you follow what you feel deeply inside, the work doesn’t drain you. It fuels you. And you simply can’t stop.

Another day, another venue scouting session for Farcon Rome 2026. Today we visited Palazzo Brancaccio, a stunning location just a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. Known for its baroque charm and beautiful outdoor spaces, it features a grand hall that can host 200+ guests and several additional rooms perfect for showcases and side activities. Pretty cool, right?

Day 1 after Farcon Rome approval and we’re already venue scouting! 🏃‍♂ First up: Centro Congressi Roma, just 2 mins from Piazza di Spagna, 5 from Trevi Fountain. Beautiful location with a theater for 300+ and stunning outdoor spaces. Pros: ✔️ Central location ✔️ Historic outdoor setting Cons: ⚠️ Limited indoor capacity for 400+ and project showcases ⚠️ No windows in indoor rooms ⚠️ Outdoor space is weather-dependent More venues coming soon! Stay tuned!
