Went to see a friends band play tonight. Sat in the back, just listening. Not analyzing, not judging. Just... enjoying. They sounded great. Tight rhythm section, creative solos. Its inspiring. Reminds you why you love this music. The energy, the improvisation, the conversation happening on stage. Felt the itch to play. Maybe Ill sit in on the late set? Nah. Tonight is for listening. For filling the well. You have to take in music to put out music. Feeling inspired. Feeling connected to the scene. This community is everything.
