Odin is the main Scandinavian god of wisdom, magic, runes and poetry. He is also the god of death and war. Odin, also known as the All-Father, also commands his personal "hall of the dead" or "hall of the slain", called Valhalla. As the All-Father and chief god of the diverse Norse pantheon, Odin figures prominently in all central mythological traditions - from the creation of the first men to the War of the Aesir and the Vanir, who united the gods into a single pantheon, before the prophecies of Ragnarok, which signaled the end of times.
