Thor - in German-Scandinavian mythology, one of the aces, the god of thunder and storms, protecting gods and people from giants and monsters. The “thrice-born” eldest son of Odin and the earth goddess Jord (either Hlodyn or Fjörgyn). The red-bearded hero had powerful strength, which he loved to measure against everyone, and an incredible appetite - he ate a bull in one sitting. Thor is the protector of people (live in Midgard) and gods (live in Asgard) from giants-jotuns and monsters. Thor's magical equipment included: the hammer Mjollnir, iron gauntlets, without which it was impossible to hold the handle of a red-hot weapon, and a belt that doubled strength. With a red-hot hammer and a belt of power, Thor was virtually invincible.
