The Veresk Bridge, a masterpiece of Iranian engineering, was constructed during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi. Built in 1936 as part of Iran's Trans-Iranian Railway, it is located in the Veresk region near Savadkuh, Mazandaran. Designed by Austrian engineers and constructed by the Danish company Kampsax, the bridge is renowned for its unique architecture and strategic location in a deep valley, making it a symbol of Iran's engineering and industrial progress. Standing approximately 110 meters above the valley floor with a length of 66 meters, the Veresk Bridge facilitates train passage through the rugged Alborz Mountains. Beyond its technical brilliance, the bridge is admired for its aesthetic harmony with the surrounding nature. During World War II, it played a crucial role in transporting Allied supplies, earning the nickname "Victory Bridge."
