When using PoS, each network participant has the right to create a new block and add it to the block chain. However, the likelihood that this particular participant will be chosen to create the next block depends on the number of coins he owns.
Unlike Proof of Work, which requires significant computing resources, PoS relies on resources that participants already have, such as their coin balance.
Proof of Stake (PoS) is a method of proving ownership that determines which network nodes can validate a new block and add it to the blockchain.
This mechanism allows network participants to receive rewards for their work in maintaining the security of the network and creating new blocks. There is no need to use a large amount of electricity and computing resources, as when using the proof of work method.
