@zama just smashed a new milestone — TFHE bootstrapping under 1 millisecond!
Encrypted computations now run in microseconds on GPU with full 128-bit security.
That’s a 56× speedup (from 53ms → 945µs), enabling near cleartext performance for Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) — the tech that lets you compute directly on encrypted data.
With this, Zama’s FHE stack hits 189K bootstraps/sec and encrypted 64-bit ops in just milliseconds, paving the way for real-world confidential computing and blockchain adoption.
Performance is improving 10× each year — at this rate, we’ll see 100K TPS encrypted token transfers within 4 years.
