The whole ECC team bailed after some nasty governance beef with the Bootstrap board. Josh Swihart called it "constructive discharge" because the board allegedly shifted things so far off mission that the devs couldn't keep building ethically. I've been watching Zcash closely because privacy coins have been quietly heating up again. But this hits hard.
