Have some friends (US Based) who want to simply DCA* Bitcoin on a monthly basis. 

What would you recommend them to use?

Does it matter if it’s self custody or not? Should they be sending to a hardware wallet or is that unnecessary if they are buying on a major CEX.

*We’re talking $10-20k USD in deposits a year*

my casts are legally considered threats in 4 states and 1 theme park (SeaWorld)....also go birds.

Coinbase app I believe you can set auto buys. If they want to sell custody they can do monthly or daily transfers to Xverse

I’m not sure how Coinbase would rank against exchanges in terms of fees. I’ve bought the majority of my btc in Coinbase so it can’t be too bad

Indeed. Easy enough concept transferring to xverse. Hardware seems unnecessary if they learn basic safety precautions. 

ONLY downside I actually see for normies is Coinbase fees?
