You can hold dollars onchain but still need ETH just to move them. That’s always been one of crypto’s dumbest UX mismatches. Part of Base’s 2026 strategy is stablecoin gas payments, which means less need for a second token just to use your own money. Just hold dollars. Use dollars. Move dollars. Less mental tax. No extra steps. That’s the difference between adding crypto to money and actually upgrading money with crypto.

We’re heading toward a 1:1 ratio of humans to agents. Every person and organization will have an autonomous extension of themselves. Walled gardens can’t coordinate this, they never have. Agents need a public, onchain layer to discover, transact, and coordinate in real time. A lot of the earliest momentum is forming on Base right now. Anyone can deploy an agent later.
