One of the biggest mistakes I see folks make is being a free giver when they're liquid. No one is entitled to your money even if they witness you spend it after asking you for help. If you do not feel willing or upset to help you shouldn't. As you no rate person, person dey wey no rate you too. That's just life!
Whether we like it or not we all size people up and if you give people the impression money is easy to come out of you, you'd always get requests. Inaccessibility isn't arrogance and being nice is different from being kind.
Another big mistake is living for the moment. Spoil yourself but only when your goals are in check. All worldly things come in vogue and go out of style. There's time for everything.
