I’m generally aligned with Coinbase here although there’s no “perfect” answer. I could see the argument that we want something to pass before the Ds take the midterms. But this Frankenstein bill is a mess and could get worse as it moves toward law. Many entrenched interests seeking “compromise” could end up in a spaghetti bill with silly restrictions (stablecoin rewards) and easy loopholes for those willing to take regulatory risk or go through a BVI entity. We don’t want clarity that leaves us in a worse place than we are today for a short-term pop in BTC and ETH.
