Knicks firing Thibs one of the craziest stories I did not expect in the slightest. Two back to back great playoff runs, this time just falling short of a championship. Knocked out the defending champs with way less of a roster and Knicks as a team had more energy and mindshare than they have in decades. You really gotta ask yourself what these GMs are up to sometimes. Easily sets them back a few years IMO

i bet if they didnt beat celtics and were knocked out he wouldn't be fired, but suddenly the stakes, attention and expectations got crazy for the ECF

Makes sense to me. Brunson and KAT have no chemistry and he didn't let the bench develop enough in the regular season. +KAT defense in post season abysmal. Culture of the team is good but not enough focus on individual player development

I think the media complaining about minutes and lineups were a big factor. The guys who run the team are definitely paying attention to social media

it’s a questionable decision that I’m conflicted about but i think there’s a sense that they benefited from an all time choke job in the 2nd round and lost to a lesser team in the conf finals
