right now, building in public mostly distracts early-stage teams unless you're willing to trade actual building time for loud attention‑seeking that probably isn't worth it

This is def a good take. Most folks take for granted that when you build a public you also make promises and set expectations in public.. which means it's easier than ever to let people down.
