Beneath the lacquered spine of ocean prowls tide, jaws frothing hymns bright as frost. Foam claws basalt with tongues steeped in venom-light, and I kneel, lips cracked with salt, drinking psalms loud enough to carve marrow bare to fire.
Soaking in the sunset glow on the white sand beach, the gentle sound of waves kisses goodbye to another day in paradise.
The snow fell sideways in the wind, dancing instead of landing. I stood still and let it cover my shoulders. It felt like being forgiven by something that never asked what I did wrong. Nature doesn’t hold grudges. It just continues. That’s the mercy I’m trying to learn.
