How GenyDAO Puts Governance Back in Your Hands Over the past few months, we’ve explored a wide range of ideas and challenges. One conclusion we’ve drawn is this: building a system that rewards supporters with a sense of ownership is not just important — it's essential. Ownership in decentralized systems is typically rooted in public participation. However, many times, technical complexity or the internal structure of projects leads to unilateral decisions — which, while sometimes necessary, can alienate users who may not have the technical expertise to fully understand the rationale behind such decisions. https://paragraph.com/@compez.eth/the-power-of-gip-in-the-geny-ecosystem

That said, I firmly believe that decisions affecting the direction of a project should carry more weight when made through a DAO framework. Unfortunately, this is something that’s often missing in platforms like Farcaster — or at the very least, not something we’ve truly experienced during our extended time in the ecosystem. That’s why within the Geny Ecosystem, we’re introducing tools and mechanisms based on transparent smart contracts on the blockchain. These tools will empower different groups within the ecosystem to participate in governance through structured voting rights, built around a system we call.
