RM Rare folks, the time has come! 🫡 About three months ago, I shared my thoughts on this. But apparently the projects don't care about the subject of art! Now, we’re getting close to making it happen! Over the past year, I’ve studied many of the challenges artists face in different projects, including issues like bans or blocks. Fortunately, as a generative artist myself, I understand these concerns firsthand. That’s why it’s important for me to know: what do you expect from a tipping system that supports the art ecosystem? I’ve built a fully customized system with a super features and broader scope not limited to art alone—and I’d love to hear your thoughts to help shape it better. I can spoil this by saying that one of the 4 important parts of GENY project is related to the field of art. So, Please feel free to share your experiences and expectations.

This is very exciting! Most importantly transparency! Lots of projects have failed due to unfair systems, sudden changes and favouring bigger names/artists. Hope this one will be different. Not an easy task though 🩵🩵

Like any other artist who spends hours a day creating, I expect that when I enter a tiping project, the rules will be clear from the beginning, not that the rules will change without announcement on the last day of the season and no one will be responsible for it. If the rules are clear, even if they are unreasonable, everyone can decide whether to participate in the project or not. Of course, if the priority is real art, the project will be more interesting.

Really appreciate what you’re building here @compez.eth 🙌🏼 For me, trust and communication are the foundation of any system meant to support artists. Too often (as we’ve seen many times) decisions are made without including the voices of the people most affected—so it’s refreshing to see someone asking directly. What makes a tipping system meaningful is not just the tech behind it, but the transparency around how it works and the commitment to listen and adapt over time. If artists feel heard, respected, and informed, they’re far more likely to engage and contribute in a meaningful way.

I'd wanna see a tipping project with incentives for artists other than financial gain, otherwise everyone will just stick to non genuine interactions to boost their stats and dump their airdrop the minute they receive it. It would also be great to reward quality over quantity so that we dont feel like we need to be chronically online to participate. I find this particularly counterproductive and not sustainable for artists, we should really be focusing on making art and promoting it. Grants for specific legit art projects that will contribute to onboarding more artists and collectors to FC / web3. Offering alternatives for smaller accounts to increase their allo so they can have the same success as others who are more established. If this can help artists get more eyes on their work / make sales it would be awesome. This is seriously lacking on FC.

So exciting. For me, transparency, trust and equal chance for every artist(not only for hyped names) is essential.

This is awesome! 🙌 I’d advocate a casting fee, which is then split between Liquidity Pool for Tips (e.g., 50%), Protocol Treasury or Burn (e.g., 25%), and Staking Rewards / Yield Vault (e.g., 25%). Even if bots do engage they’re still paying into the treasury and yield on staking. Continued…

Gm/Rm brother! I appreciate you about caring about art and artist community. And I’m sure there are many details that you’re paying attention to. But again I would like to share my opinions about this 😄 I personally prefer to see a fair and transparent tipping system that rewards artists based on the quality, creativity, and impact of their work, rather than just popularity or personal connections. And also it would be great if the project offered a dedicated NFT minting space for artists, or partnered with well known marketplaces. I also think it’s important to have systems in place that prevent abuse like fake accounts or coordinated tipping groups that try to manipulate rankings or visibility. It would mean a lot to me if the project regularly showcased community artworks maybe through digital galleries, metaverse exhibitions, or even real-world collaborations. This helps artists gain real visibility and feel appreciated. ✌️

Thank you for your attention on this. For me, I feel like I don’t understand the tipping system for art. Like we removed the tip button and created something way cooler to show support which is the ability to collect art digitally. It’s “I love what you’re doing and want to support it” from the collector perspective and “thank you, here is part that story you can collect and hold” from he artists side. For me, the tip button is a boring experience and I rather save up all funds to collect art.

The truth is that nowhere in the world — neither in Web3 nor in the real world — is there genuine support for artists. It has always been the artists themselves who stand by one another, showing solidarity and support through tipping and other meaningful gestures. As an artist, my minimum expectation is that no project should prevent this valuable connection by labeling it as spam or placing unnecessary restrictions on it. In fact, any project should be proud to have a vibrant, supportive community of artists and strive to nurture and empower that bond, rather than obstruct it under various excuses.

Thank you for pouring your heart into this cause—it means the world. As an Iranian artist, I’ve been hit hard, banned from Opensea twice just because of where I’m from. It’s been crushing for my NFT journey. Blockchain is supposed to be this open, transparent space, so these bans felt like a slap in the face. I was so excited to finally be my own boss, creating as an independent artist, but those setbacks really stung. Still, I pushed forward. I’m so grateful for what you’re doing, brother 🙌🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a much-needed convo — thank you for pushing it forward 🙌🏼 A tipping system that truly supports the art ecosystem should be artist-first at its core. That means: • Transparency around how tips flow • Support for both emerging and established creators • Tools to recognize originality and contribution • Resistance to censorship or arbitrary bans Really excited to hear that art is one of the core pillars of the GENY project. Can’t wait to see how this evolves — count me in to support and give feedback
