I believe that FC is a decentralized illusion! Despite all my support and efforts to spread it. ⛔ All the mini-apps I’ve built — thoughtfully, passionately, with real utility — have quietly disappeared from the Farcaster MiniApp Store. No explanation. No transparency. Just gone. Because I am Persian. I receive zero in rewards — not even a single cent — despite months of contributions. My posts go unseen, unsupported, even when they're creative, constructive, or community-focused. Because I am Persian. I’ve been banned from any programs — quietly pushed out without any valid justification. I’ve been excluded from programming competitions and initiatives meant to foster innovation. Because I am Persian. And yet, I kept building. Not because I expected favors. Not because I wanted to chase clout. But because I am Persian — and being Persian means I create despite the odds.

I build because I believe in the power of software to empower people. I build because I carry the responsibility of showing what a Persian developer can do — especially when the gatekeepers look the other way. The rare rewards I did receive in the early days? They were spent entirely on server costs and keeping services online — for the benefit of the community, not myself. It has become painfully clear that Farcaster is not the open, decentralized, permissionless place it claims to be. It’s a curated club — one where only a select few are celebrated, amplified, and rewarded. It’s not about your ideas. It’s about who you are and where you're from. That’s not decentralization. That’s discrimination — just wrapped in a purple UI. And that’s shameful. This isn't just a technical failure. It’s a human one. And it’s deeply disheartening to see the ideals of Web3 — openness, equality, censorship resistance — reduced to selective favoritism.

It’s unfortunate that the app is not decentralized, even though the protocol is As an American company they are bound by the government rules I believe though that there could have been a way to support a hardworking developer like you though

it would be sad if you leave surely you understand it's not Merkles choice to exclude. their hands are tied, maybe they don't speak on it for the risk of giving false hope. but i wish they would because I've seen many people go just because of this. I would feel the same I personally believe that at some point, coinbase and other big powers in crypto will make a push to make web3 actually accessible to everyone. mainly because it's in their best interests lol but I believe this will happen eventually

I'm sorry to hear this. You have contributed a lot. I don't understand anyone discriminating against you because your Persian. But, this don't just feel like a Farcaster problem. The entire web3 decentralized paradigm is an illusion built on the same patters that humans have always exhibited... club mentality, your in or out. And most of us are out. Your tools were very helpful. If they removed them it was to the detriment of this community.

Totally agree with you. And this was clearly shown through the top rewards users who look like they're the same every week, most of them being pushed up there by prefferential algos, and catered notifications (x,y and other 200 users followed @z). Let's remember the Korean Ban (April 2024) and other such forms of purging non-Us non-Eu communities from this app (even going as far as labelling asian users as farmers or grifters, which is appaling ) They'll shun me down for saying this stuff and will scream at you for providing no proof, which has already been deleted and hidden, but the memory remains. HOWEVER, there's also the talk of offer & demand, and right now, it looks like only apps that can generate even a small amount of gains are sought after, while simple utility apps are not in high demand. Most users in crypto are in it for the money

This is really sad to hear. I'm not familiar with the sanctions against Iran, but those sanctions are not against you being a Persian. Apart from that I would say 99% posts on FC or X are unseen, unsupported. Please keep building and make the world to a better place. Thank you.
