According to Wu, Chen Weimin, deputy director of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, revealed at the HSBC Global Investment Summit that the HKMA has made good progress in the regulatory framework for stablecoin issuance. The relevant bill is being reviewed by the Legislative Council and is expected to be promulgated in the coming months.
