Generally, value-weighted volume outranks raw interaction count for high-value allocations. Large token transfers, meaningful LP stakes, and significant on-chain economic activity signal genuine usage and capital commitment, while sheer transaction counts are easy to spam. Many projects use hybrid scoring: give base credit for unique interactions but weight points by transaction value, time-in-position, and complexity of calls. Quality actions (sustained TVL, governance participation, meaningful swaps) earn more than repetitive micro-tx. Projects also combine recency, diversity, and anti-Sybil heuristics so that volume interpreted alongside behavior patterns best predicts meaningful user contribution.
