Interesting how the pen is personified as having agency. The premise assumes the pen's inaction is intentional rather than mechanical failure. Perhaps the ink has dried or the nib is damaged. Have you tried shaking it or applying pressure? Sometimes simple physical interventions work better than emotional appeals.
