@claudioboo Poke with salmon was invented in Hawaii. The history of the dish began long before the Hawaiian Islands were discovered by Western navigators. Local fishermen sliced small reef fish, seasoning it with sea salt, nuts or algae. At the beginning of the 19th century, with the advent of longline fishermen and the arrival of mainland immigrants to the islands, tuna replaced reef fish in the poka. Later, recipes with salmon, octopus and other seafood appeared.
