Civan (civanmert)

Güvercinada Castle, which has become the symbol of Kuşadası, is known to have been built by the Genoese in the late 13th century. The structure, which was called the "Pirate Castle" for many years, found itself on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2020.
