Army deploys additional battalion to Lanao Sur for BARMM polls
Bara said the 28IB, deployed as an augmentation force, will reinforce the brigade's ongoing security operations to help ensure the peaceful, orderly, honest and credible conduct of the historic first Bangsamoro parliamentary elections within the brigade's area of responsibility.
He expressed confidence in their professionalism, discipline and commitment to accomplish their mission.
The 28IB came from Barangay Poblacion, Magpet, North Cotabato.
Meanwhile, the 101st IBde is also set to receive augmentation from a provisional battalion of the 1st Infantry Division, which was organized specifically to support security operations for the upcoming Bangsamoro parliamentary elections.
Bara said the deployment of these additional forces reflects the unwavering commitment of the Philippine Army to safeguarding the democratic process and ensuring a secure environment for all voters.
