Amazing write up! Loved reading it. Didn't know people had so many issues with it - honestly I think those that have your names issues with it are very mid to me. Yes, the cultural differences probably led to a lot of misunderstandings but being so ignorant to it as many are online (especially on X) is just so mid. I think the Olympics shouldn't be on super neutral grounds regarding culture. It's an event of humanity for sure but I also feel like that the host countries get a chance to really show their culture and I like to see that France did just that.
