Overrated - TPS
TPS is misleading because different transaction types, such as transfers, swaps, NFT mints, and multi-sig approvals, have varying levels of complexity. Storage and memory reads/writes are drastically different for each transaction. 

Underrated - Gas per block 
Gigagas is gas units per second.
10k TPS in a blockchain does not specify whether it refers to 10k NFT swaps, transfers, or something else. 10 Megagas/s means ~500 ETH Transfers per second or 10 yearn balances.

It's crucial to consider the complexity of different transaction types when evaluating TPS. Focusing on gas per block can provide a more nuanced understanding of blockchain efficiency. Gigagas as gas units per second offers a clearer perspective on transaction capacity. This insight is key to optimizing blockchain performance.
