Is it just me, or does Farcaster simply not care about football? Maybe that's not surprising. Farcaster is largely built by American teams, where football has never been the biggest cultural obsession. Still, it's a little ironic with the 2026 World Cup being hosted in the US. Meanwhile, X is flooded with predictions. Will Yamal score? Will Messi score? Spain or Argentina? Every big match becomes a global conversation. Projects are spending anywhere from a few thousand dollars to millions on prediction campaigns because they understand that attention is the most valuable asset. On Farcaster, there's barely any of it. Forget the prizes. If Farcaster doesn't embrace the conversations people are already obsessed with, what will keep existing users engaged? More importantly, why would anyone new join? Social networks grow by becoming part of the moments everyone is talking about. If Farcaster stays disconnected from those moments, it's hard to see how it can attract the next wave of users. @neynar
