i caught quite a bit of villa's 2-2 draw with league leaders liverpool yesterday in between watching madrid take city apart.
the two things that stood out for me were:
- as expected, even though he is deployed on the wings, asensio tends to drift inside and play a creator role (to which he is best suited).
- andres garcia looks a very capable matty cash backup, he looked like that role was his own out there yesterday.
- axel disasi was electric (at least in the first 30 minutes), could he be a maverick signing?
- rashford looks like he's still got it, which is good news for emery and villa fans.
