really not sure why bayern is so bent on a musiala replacement when they can just give more playing time to someone like bryan zaragoza. https://paragraph.com/@thefalsenine/slide-rule-pass-football-news-10-july

Bayern „lost“ Müller, Sane and Musiala for now who could play all Offensive midfield positions. So, there is no great 10, no Backup for Kane, and at least 1 Backup for winger missing - though they‘d prefer probably a starter aside Musiala, Olise and Kane with Gnabry and Coman as Backups. In my opinion Zaragoza is not good enough for Bayern. Nkunku, Woltemade would make sense as they can be Backup for Kane and number 10. Xavi would also be a great player that could play all offensive midfield positions. A great 1 vs 1 winger would be a good Addition too. Worst case is no signing but I’d also be happy to see some playing time for Wanner as 10, alternatively Goretzka can play there or they adjust the Formation to 4:3:3 with 3CMs and without 10

fair enough. i was looking at the musiala situation in isolation. i do think bryan is better than most people think he is (could be wrong there of course). nkunku would be a pretty risky signing. he hasn't been able to hit the heights he's capable of yet and there are no guarantees. i would have loved to see rashford at bayern because it feels like they need a very direct goal threat off that flank to compliment the creative abilities of kane and olise (which is why the luis diaz pursuit is baffling to me). but whatever you gain from rashford offensively, you likely lose in his lack of pressing. we'll see how it all works out.

Wouldn’t want rashford at all. He’s got good Pace - which Bayern could need in some Games - but he’s best with a lot of Space and not in small areas as far as I know. Bayern needs solutions when they are very dominant though.
