According to TechFlow, on March 30, US President Trump said in an interview with NBC News that he would not fire anyone involved in the Signal group chat leak. He said he would not fire employees for fake news and political persecution, and clarified that he did not know what Signal was, nor did he care about what Signal was, and believed that it was just political persecution. Previously, Musk was invited to assist in the investigation of the Signal chat leak.
