Talked to someone selling their home in Florida. Cost of ownership is double what it was when they bought, and hurricane season is soon. They’ve actually *raised* the price because they recently rebuilt the back patio for unknown reasons. He seemed worried. Blamed Trump for tariffs and slow real estate market.

My brother does insurance law and loves to talk about Florida - mostly about how it’s basically a no-go zone for insurers and the only approach is going to be government subsidized/offered insurance.

Think the new patio’s enough to offset the higher costs and hurricane timing?
