Clip - Product Feedback ? -------------------- Drop (a) product feedback, (b) feature ideas, or (c) Reddit frustrations in the comments. About Clip: ELI5: Like Reddit, but people earn from posting and commenting Our goal is to find PMF i.e answer these 3 questions: 1. Crypto-Native: Is /c/crypto fun enough for daily use (readers + traders)? 2. Normie-Friendly: Can we grow channels beyond crypto? 3. Scalable Playbook: Can we repeatedly launch high-quality, positive-sum channels? After PMF: Go after Reddit with the first major Web3 “vampire attack.” Risks: 1. Smart contracts are currently unaudited. Ape responsibly. 2. We’re in Beta and shipping fast: expect bugs.

1. I didn't understand if the funds earned by the comments come exclusively from trading fees / creator earnings? or does the creator of the post add funds when creating a post, almost like a bounty to get good feedback? or both? 2. What use case do you see for this first? Crypto traders sharing alpha/advice? I would focus on one use case only to test the idea, but not sure what that could be

Seamless onboarding via privy and Warpcast. Two small things one of which I’m not sure you can do anything about. 1. When you connect with Warpcast it leaves you in the Warpcast app, not sure if anyway to auto-send user back here. 2. When you do come back, I wasn’t sure if the Warpcast part had worked based on the UX so checkmark or something to show Warpcast connected would be nice then I know to click the button at the bottom to complete the onboarding. Super interesting idea overall looking forward to seeing it develop.

I really liked the onboarding flow with pictures. It helped me ensure I didn't miss a step, which I think is critical for adoption, especially for those new to Farcaster. Appreciate making it so clear and helping walk through step by step!

As a content creator (mainly video-based) i'm VERY excited to see the experiment grow - would love to start testing it out! Anywhere here are my answers: 1. Crypto-Native: Is /c/crypto fun enough for daily use (readers + traders)? Considering i might get paid bookoo bucks for posting here - then yea definetley for crypto natives 2. Normie-Friendly: Can we grow channels beyond crypto? yes BUT crypto needs to fade into the back end, and payments/anyhting value-related should not showcase crypto in any way - just the dollar amounts without mention of crypto - the masses dont care, they just want to find enjoyable content 3. Scalable Playbook: Can we repeatedly launch high-quality, positive-sum channels? yes but u need the right folks/ideally creators that have an incentive to build up their own account + their own channel

I stumbled upon how to claim my comment earnings, but it wasn't intuitive. I had to look through the whole thread to find my comments. Fine for now, but would be hard when there are more threads. I did see the "coming soon" button in my profile. That is going to be amazing.

curious to see how the coinbase client will look like after x months i really like the following at the moment: - how it presents mini apps - chat ui - how it surfaces video content what i would like to see: - posting in channels - better cast embeds (ex: youtube links) - bookmarks - ability to sort thru (home, following, trending) - desktop client

This is cool conceptually but needs some serious additional thought in terms of onboarding (must be seamless, shouldn’t require email, should be able to auth with Warpcast or wallet) as well as UX/UI design. Right now, the interface feels disjointed - more emphasis on where a user should be looking, more “flow” from step to step, an optional dark mode (maybe even enabled by default…?) and some splashes of color would go a long way. There’s room to make this more exciting and fun to engage with. I also wonder if this might work better as a PWA, vs in browser only? Or perhaps even better than that - deploy it as a Farcaster Mini App (formerly Frames) The concept is strong, I see the vision… I just think some more thought is needed to make this accessible, fun, sleek, attractive, and engaging, such that people log in and use the platform but also keep coming back. Good luck, strong start conceptually!!

A few rapid fire additions in addendum to my much longer comment I left - 1. Need to be able to customize my user profile. 2. Need to be able to edit comments here once posted. 3. Elements like “earn up to X” should be clickable 4. More clarity could be added as to why that dialogue goes from “earn up to [amount]” to “earn up to $0” - maybe a tooltip, or make it clickable - something. Maybe even remove the dialogue after the first comment is made??? As it stands right now where you cannot edit comments, if a commenter thinks of a great suggestion after their first comment, they’re now being disincentivized to post it!

Loving the ambition and clarity, Clip feels like it’s building in the right direction. Product Feedback: Smooth onboarding, loved that I can login via Farcaster. Would personally remove the need for email login, but that might come in handy later on (for notifications etc). Feature Idea: Implement lightweight content surfacing. Something like "Trending in the last hour" or "Hot today" to help new users find value quickly, get involved, and feel part of the action. Reddit Frustration: Reddit increasingly buries niche voices under algorithmic sludge. There's real potential for Clip to become a home for tighter, high-signal communities, especially if channel creation stays curated and intentional. Excited to see where this goes! There's definitely room for a Web3-native forum that doesn't just mimic Reddit but evolves it.

I’ve seen how well we’re doing on CLIP, but also noticed a few people trying to farm by using bots to boost engagement on their comments... yep, and it kinda works! We probably need to limit accounts that show signs of farming or seem untrusted. Maybe we can use data by @openrank or @neynar to help with that. wdyt @chomu @sarvadshetty.eth

(a) product feedback: We need an app, ios - android, or if we want to be more accessible, then we need the Farcaster mini-app.

Love the idea to blend Reddit-style discussion with on-chain incentives. So... The UX is promising. However, I don't know how easy it will be onboarding the non-crypto users. For easier onboarding I'd take out the e-mail step (it seems to be unnecessary); FC login is enough. One idea: Reputation scores based on topic expertise. The more you know about something, the more incentives you get.
