Clip - Product Feedback ? -------------------- Drop (a) product feedback, (b) feature ideas, or (c) Reddit frustrations in the comments. About Clip: ELI5: Like Reddit, but people earn from posting and commenting Our goal is to find PMF i.e answer these 3 questions: 1. Crypto-Native: Is /c/crypto fun enough for daily use (readers + traders)? 2. Normie-Friendly: Can we grow channels beyond crypto? 3. Scalable Playbook: Can we repeatedly launch high-quality, positive-sum channels? After PMF: Go after Reddit with the first major Web3 “vampire attack.” Risks: 1. Smart contracts are currently unaudited. Ape responsibly. 2. We’re in Beta and shipping fast: expect bugs.

Seamless onboarding via privy and Warpcast. Two small things one of which I’m not sure you can do anything about. 1. When you connect with Warpcast it leaves you in the Warpcast app, not sure if anyway to auto-send user back here. 2. When you do come back, I wasn’t sure if the Warpcast part had worked based on the UX so checkmark or something to show Warpcast connected would be nice then I know to click the button at the bottom to complete the onboarding. Super interesting idea overall looking forward to seeing it develop.

1. I didn't understand if the funds earned by the comments come exclusively from trading fees / creator earnings? or does the creator of the post add funds when creating a post, almost like a bounty to get good feedback? or both? 2. What use case do you see for this first? Crypto traders sharing alpha/advice? I would focus on one use case only to test the idea, but not sure what that could be

A few rapid fire additions in addendum to my much longer comment I left - 1. Need to be able to customize my user profile. 2. Need to be able to edit comments here once posted. 3. Elements like “earn up to X” should be clickable 4. More clarity could be added as to why that dialogue goes from “earn up to [amount]” to “earn up to $0” - maybe a tooltip, or make it clickable - something. Maybe even remove the dialogue after the first comment is made??? As it stands right now where you cannot edit comments, if a commenter thinks of a great suggestion after their first comment, they’re now being disincentivized to post it!

interesting idea: for stickiness, I need a reason to come here everyday, the cold start problem is very hard and sustaining it even harder. but also, something like tipping or farming an airdrop will make this place unusable. buying posts for popularity is -ev and will follow the same fate as zora's content coins some bugs: - PFPs are streched out - UI can be made better and more user friendly

Needs some form of onboarding tutorial to guide users around, pretty lost after I connected my Warpcast account Tokenized comments is not something people are familiar with, so guide them through things like the earning mechanism and incentivize the right behavior in terms of what you want users to do after onboarding

no feedback but this my future ideas 1. Reputation System Add karma-like scores or badge tiers to help users distinguish between trusted contributors and low-effort posters. 2. Staking for Posts or Channels Users stake to post/comment, with slashing for spam or rewards for engagement—aligns incentives better than pure rewards.

dear @chomu because clip integrated with warpcast i think we need Clip via Farcaster Mini Apps. Add a Mini App that lets users: •Discover trending Clip channels. •Earn rewards for completing posting/•Commenting missions. •View their rewards or balances. or maybe add marketing give airdrop to warpcast user cc : @linda

This is cool conceptually but needs some serious additional thought in terms of onboarding (must be seamless, shouldn’t require email, should be able to auth with Warpcast or wallet) as well as UX/UI design. Right now, the interface feels disjointed - more emphasis on where a user should be looking, more “flow” from step to step, an optional dark mode (maybe even enabled by default…?) and some splashes of color would go a long way. There’s room to make this more exciting and fun to engage with. I also wonder if this might work better as a PWA, vs in browser only? Or perhaps even better than that - deploy it as a Farcaster Mini App (formerly Frames) The concept is strong, I see the vision… I just think some more thought is needed to make this accessible, fun, sleek, attractive, and engaging, such that people log in and use the platform but also keep coming back. Good luck, strong start conceptually!!

lol one more comment - this will be my third, emphasizing how valuable an edit comment option might be, but otherwise: consider letting users attach media! If I can include a screenshot or a short video or gif, I can visually impart my feedback/express myself better! ok, I’m done now, no more lol

Hello a) The idea behind the product and the product itself are excellent; however, lessons can be learned from the mistakes of similar past applications, such as ZORA. b) The structured, folder-based nature of everything Reddit offers, along with its focus on meaningful and useful interaction, can be taken into consideration. c) Recently, reddit has become filled with completely useless content and has lost its uniqueness.
