Web3 Job Fatigue
I got into Web3 because two of my friends, a trader and a programmer, made a lot of money, and I was really interested. I started exploring it in my freshman year.
I didn’t make any money from trading, but I didn’t lose any either, which made me start doubting my own abilities.
Eventually, I joined the Web3 job hunt army.
I applied for internships in exchanges, media, and operations on T, and I got responses. In the end, I chose media + operations because I didn’t think that exchange was well-known.
But it turned out to be way more tiring than I expected! Luckily, my leader is amazing, so I’m learning a lot.
My main work now is making sure the accounts are updated, following market research, checking out what people are chatting about in the community, and networking with colleagues… It feels like I’m doing all the BD work while having an operations internship title.
I’m working 8-10 hours a day, and I don’t get weekends off.
It feels more like a finance internship than Web3?
