I wore simply what was cozy and reasonably priced as a child, ignoring fashion labels. When I worked as an intern at a fashion magazine in college, this changed. I went to a local fashion show, which let me realize that fashion is art and a form of expression, even though I initially felt out of place. I found great resonance in a young designer's culturally influenced collection.
