For the user, this appears as the familiar Coinbase interface with added features and buttons, rather than a separate, complex L2 network that requires independent learning. This is their onboarding strategy: instead of making people figure out what an L2 is, they blend on-chain functionality into a familiar UX — through well-known Coinbase products and social apps on the level of Instagram (via Zora) and X (via Farcaster).

Meme coins on @base.base.eth From the very beginning, the ecosystem left room for memes and everything related to them — not as a guilty pleasure but as a normal entry point: if you want to have fun, come to Base, everything is ready for that here. And the “shtcoins” on Base often aren’t shtcoins in the classic sense, because they can come with an actual product backed by strong developers and real value for the user.
