Back in the Web2 world, when I used the internet, I was more of a "user."Scrolling through short videos, posting photos, liking, commenting—everything I did was quietly recorded by platforms. The data belonged to them, and algorithms dictated what I could see. After a while, I even started to feel like I was the one being "arranged." It wasn’t until I entered Web3 that I felt "I’m participating" for the first time.Posting content isn’t "contributing data" anymore; it’s "building the network." The NFTs I hold, the DAOs I join, the contracts I interact with—all of these represent my "presence" in this system. There’s no single center here, and no one can randomly ban accounts or delete posts.Everything is slower and messier, but also more real. Web2 is a smooth highway;Web3 is a muddy road still under construction—but its direction leads to the side where "you hold your own destiny."
