Many protocols are exploring persistent, transferable reputation ledgers that score wallet behavior across services. A mature points system can morph into a composable on-chain credit or reputation layer, enabling weighted governance, fee discounts, and priority access. Key design challenges include privacy, Sybil resistance, revocation for bad actors, and cross-protocol portability. Tokenizing reputation risks commoditizing identity, so hybrid architectures (zero-knowledge attestations, attestations from trusted registrars, time-decay scoring) will be prevalent. Over time, reputable wallets could enjoy measurable utility—eligibility boosts, reduced KYC friction, better loan terms—turning one-off points into persistent on-chain credit.
