The Holy Spirit uses believers to convict the world of sin. Paul and Silas were used to bring the jailer and his family to faith. ▪Dear friend, our mission as disciples of Christ is to go out to the world and proclaim the good news - those who listen and respond open their hearts. Saint Augustine of Canterbury and his companions preached the gospel to the English people. Christianity then faced persecution from the "pagan Anglo-Saxon invasions of the fifth and sixth centuries." They persevered in faith and brought many to faith. Easter Season reminds us that Christ rose to convict the world of sin. May we become the living light of Christ today. And May the blessing of God be with you and Grant you success in everything Good you do today in Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Amen. Peace be with you!

Many people want to be saved but do not know what to do or how to do it. It is not the will of God that anyone should perish. "God wants everyone to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth" (cf. 1 Timothy 2:4). The Holy Spirit leads us to the truth. ~ Those who refused to be convicted by the Holy Spirit choose to be condemned. Those who do not believe in Christ are convicted of sin since for all in Christ, new creation has come; old things have passed away (cf. 2 Corinthians 5:17). The jailer and his family became new creatures. "He took them in at that hour of the night and bathed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized at once" (Acts 16:33). ~ The household was filled with joy when they came to faith. There is always an atmosphere of joy when the Holy Spirit enters our lives. When the Spirit convicts us of sin, He invites us to repentance and fills us with joy. "The joy of the gospel fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus" (Pope Francis,

27TH MAY 2025 TUESDAY OF THE 6TH WEEK OF EASTERTIDE Acts 16:22-34; Psalm 138:1-2ab, 2cde-3, 7c-8; John 16:5-11 THE ADVOCATE WILL CONVICT THE WORLD OF SIN "And when he comes he will convict the world in regard to sin and righteousness and condemnation: sin, because they do not believe in me; righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will no longer see me; condemnation, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.” John 16:8-11 ▪The Holy Spirit convicts us to call us to repentance. Only those whose hearts are open will feel this urging from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came when Paul and Silas were in prison. The Holy Spirit touched the jailer under whose watch these disciples were, and he believed in Christ. The Holy Spirit calls us to conversion. When the man saw what happened, he asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” ~ The Spirit convicts us, so we will repent and be saved. "It is not the will of God that any of these little ones should perish" (cf. Matthew 18:14).
