Introducing: HB Canvas HB Season extension powered by $HIGHER HB Season is a 1,111 pfp collection of higher beings/beasts by the /higher network. 450 pieces already minted across five seasons. The remaining 661 start blank and get activated through HB Canvas. Heavily inspired by Opepen ethos, HB Canvas is a protocol where anyone can become a contributor, curator, or collector. Everything is permissionless, transparent, and community driven, with $HIGHER as the onchain currency. No admin picks the winners. HB Season holders can claim one free blank canvas for every season piece they hold. The canvas is not soulbound, so you can send, transfer, or sell it anytime. Claim rights travel with the season piece. 450 of the blanks are held for those claims. The last 211 are a reserve the protocol mints to artists as their pieces lock, so you can hold a canvas without ever holding a season piece. A curator opens a theme by staking 111,111 HIGHER and writes the call for art. Contributors submit pieces for free (gas only). The curator accepts the ones that fit the theme and the HB look. Then canvas holders back the art they want by putting their blank canvas and 88,888 HIGHER behind it. It starts around 6 canvases to lock a piece and gradually gets easier as more slots fill. You can move your backing or pull out anytime before the lock. When it locks, one backing canvas is picked at random and keeps the art forever. That backer becomes the collector and the contributor becomes an HB artist. Only the picked canvas pays: 76,000 HIGHER to the artist, 8,444 to the curator, and 4,444 to the treasury. Everyone else walks away with their canvas and HIGHER back, untouched. A theme that reaches 11 locks becomes the next permanent season (HB5, then HB7, HB8, and so on). If a curator closes a theme with only 1–10 locks, those pieces become part of the Fragment collection. Curators get their 111,111 HIGHER stake back at the 11th lock or whenever they close the theme. Artists also earn a 5% royalty if their locked canvas resells on a marketplace that honors royalties. Curators can optionally add a bounty on top to attract more submissions. No new token is involved. Every HIGHER an artist earns comes straight from backers who chose their work. The amounts are fixed in the contracts. The remaining 661 pieces no longer depend on a mint. They depend on whoever holds a canvas, whoever opens a theme, and whoever submits the art. All onchain. All with $HIGHER. The collection continue from here. And HB for all.
